KisanTech is a full-stack agricultural platform for equipment rentals and direct-to-consumer sales, with crop-specific insights powered by weather data and geolocation.

About the Project
KisanTech was developed as part of an undergraduate research initiative focused on disintermediating India’s agricultural supply chain. Built with Next.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB Atlas, it features role-based dashboards, geospatial indexing for location-aware rentals, and a rule-based engine that maps real-time weather API data to optimal crop conditions. The system supports secure JWT auth, persistent carts, and a complete transaction lifecycle, beginning with listing and ending in checkout. Deployed serverlessly on Vercel, KisanTech was designed to improve profitability for smallholder farmers through D2C commerce and hyperlocal equipment sharing, and was documented in a research paper on AgriTech optimization.
